Hi Big Red,
Well I've started work again, which means many things, not least of which *way* less time on the web. I shall make a concerted effort to get back into the swing of all things hootoo in the new year, but in the mean time...
A very happy and harmonious Christmas to you and yours, and a great Hogmanay (New Year) too!!!
I shall be preparing your mulled cider at my Christmas party on Saturday night so I will let you know how it all went.

TPC! It's you! I've sure missed you. I've been very busy myself at work, and not posting very much. It took me till today to even find your message, for example.
I was thinking about your party and wondering how it went. Earlier this fall, I actually tried to talk my husband into taking a long weekend and going to Scotland for your party. He was going to be too busy, and I know he thinks I'm nuts anyway for making "friends" with people online.
So how did the cider turn out? And how's the new job?
Merry Christmas to you too!

Hi Big Red,
I have to confess we didn't quite get around the cider. In fact that's just one of the several planned things that didn't quite happen. What did happen though was a thoroughly fab party, with proper beer on tap (courtesy of Tocatta) and nice cakes (courtesy of, among others, Zantic).
More to come, but here's a piccie of me and the beer:

You may not have made it over for the party, but you will always have a willing tourguide should you ever make it over to Scotland. As for being nuts for being in hootoo, he's probably right
The job is going good! It's odd having a normal 9-5 job which I get to come home from every night, but it's a lot less sress and I have way more time to do stuff I like, so we'll see how it pans out in the new year. It's nice to not have to worry about money again too, which has made a huge difference to my enjoyment of Christmas, let me tell you.
Hope you have a great Christmas with your cats

Thanks, dear, you too. Love the pic! You look like you're having a good time. What's the little green Shrek-like statue in the background?
I'm down to only having to hear "Night and Day II" about once a week now. For a while I had to hear it every day. That man has SUCH a hold on me.

Gosh, you do pop in and out, don't you?
I DO wish we could come but we have to fly to Florida five days after that to be with all the in-laws for Christmas, which puts another trip out of reach both in terms of time off and $$. I'd much rather come to Scotland! Never been there! My brother has it, and he loves it. (Especially the heeland coos.)
Joe was great last week, by the way. So was Todd Rundgren!
