Ooh, I must not have been paying attention to Larry King very well... missed some of that.
I heard him trying to comfort the woman who was in the Astrodome.
Anderson Cooper is on now. He's been good lately. He practically yelled at Senator Landrieu of Louisiana when she was talking about politics and politicians. Spoke about a body being eaten by rats in the street...

I've always liked Jesse Jackson. He tells it like it is even when people don't want to hear it.

Man, the media is going crazy...
Even Fox News. Geraldo was on the verge of crying and yelling at Sean Hannity

Yup. Seems like the folks they're putting down there are really grasping the situation in ways that the folks at desks in NY and DC can't. And they're getting frustrated. This is happening all the time. It's great to see raw, real journalism.

It's great to see Lieutenant General Russell Honare rattling around New Orleans screaming at the soldiers and police to put their "God-Damn" rifles down and picking up babies and their mothers for immediate helicopter evacuation. What a relief to have a person like that in charge even if it took way too long to send him in.

The New Orleans mayor has become increasingly distressed and showing signs of lack of sleep...today he said that he expected to be killed by the CIA to silence his complaints. He also said yesterday. in one of his few positive comments, that General Honore was "a John Wayne dude" that was finally getting things done by issuing steams of virulent profanity to get people moving. General Honere is a Cajun.

He's frustrated. I'd be grateful to see a John Wayne dude kick in the door and bark some orders if I were that frustrated.
They're all frustrated down there. The reporters, politicians, people It's getting better though, I think. Thank god.

One link you put up has content that deserves some emphasis...
"I hate the way they portray us in the media. "If you see a black family it says they are looting if you see a white family it says they are looking for food.
"We already realize a lot of the people that could help are at war now fighting another way and they’ve given them permission to go down and shoot us."

Kanye West. He's got a point, I think. Even before he made that point, I saw news sources showing blacks looting and whites looking. What a difference a letter makes.
Man, he must have spooked NBC good though. They flew off him quicker than a (charming, folksy metaphor to be supplied by Hyp here).

...quicker than a possum licking a dead deer's ass.

No, I know. It just sort of caught me off guard.
I was actually expecting an animal reference ('A jackrabbit on a hot, greasy griddle')... the deer's ass business...

You're never going to make a good woodsman, Jodan. Possums are notorious for feeding off of dead deer. That is the origin of the saying. Possums prefer to eat carrion.

So why would they be going quickly? If they like the deer ass, why wouldn't they be staying put? A jackrabbit, on the other hand, like most of us, does not like to be on a hot greasy griddle because it burns his feet.
Honestly, sometimes I feel like I have to think for two people...
