Washed up in Japan

From a young age, I had determined that I would become a brilliant astrophysicist/philosopher who would tackle and solve the great mechanical and spiritual questions of humankind and the universe. Somewhere along the line, I took a wrong turn (perhaps deliberately, when I started to realize that perhaps I was not as gifted with genius as I had once assumed) and replaced my dreams of intellectual greatness with aspirations to travel and see the world. And thus, I began my travels by traveling to the land of Japan - first to the post-modern nightmare of Tokyo and then to the deep, deep countryside. And so far, that's been it.

I have signed up as a researcher in the hopes of exercising what few of my brain cells have not atrophied completely from the lack of stimulation I have provided them here in the Japanese countryside.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
