I feel as if Royalty has walked among us. Hello, to a legend. I think I shall do a Harry Lime and stay in the shadows a little longer. I'm jealous of that period because they could wear such great clothes. I look more like Joe Cotton than Orson, but am searching for an Alida Valli look-alike for the comedy musical "Lead Paint-Tasty But Deadly"

That title reminds me about that film with Sean Connery as a munk... ah! The Name of the Rose!
I was a bit dubious about seeing the film, since I had already read the book - I usually end up very disappointed - but I liked the film...

Thought the book was a masterpiece. Tried reading Foucault's Pendulum but don't have a Ph.D in semiotics so . As for the film: good of Hollywood not to do a complete hatchett job but I have an ulterior motive- Italiam Women. Romantically involved with one once also lucky not to get a hatchett job. Therefore found it hard to believe Christian S at the end. It should have been "Here's your habit and your donkey. I'm off!"
How is the Forest of Arden these days?

I hope you don't get into trouble 4using the net at work. I have the net at work but my employers(Consignia) provide us with the BBC without using the www. So trouble is avoided. Sorry about the weather but if its any comfort it's horrible up here in Liverpool.

Hi!
The Third Man is a superb film! I was introduced to it through an Eng Lit "Novel into Film" course at university, which has left me with an unfulfilled desire for more film noir!
There's an ice cream van down my way that plays music that sounds very similar to "Harry's theme" from the Third Man, but then turns into something else. It's very creepy!
Eco's great too - Foucoults Pendulum is worth persevering with - I kind of lost it when someone ended up in Brazil, but it's worth finishing for the ending. I suppose I just like a book that screams "I'm cleverer than you!!!!" at the reader on every page!

Do you like cats/ I do and when you watch the film Orson's big entrance is via the cat "he only really ever liked Harry". If you watch the film again you'll notice that in the space of a couple of minutes it is actually three different cats. Apparantly they kept disappearing.
