Are you really and truly dying, or are you just being melodramatic. Men and colds.
Be careful with that wine- it's supposed to make colds even worse. Though I suppose if you fall asleep it'd be a good thing.
Enjoy the film! Feel better soon. If you have any camphor or anything similar, rub it into your feet and then put on some warm socks. That always seems to make some of the chills and achiness subside.

Okay, I'm not dying... not as such. I am intolerably ill . But I have to tell you about how cool this movie was. The visual aesthetic of Ridley Scott, the psychological tension of Solaris and Das Boot, the soundscape of its predecessor, 28 Days Later (the star of which is the star of this).
This is not "hard" sf, by any stretch. But it is by itself a fantastic exercise in imagination and worth the effort, pissed or otherwise.

I'm not usually into "hard sci-fi", so that's ot necessarily a bad thing. Though I'm not a fan of Ridley Scott per se (the only thing he's done that I like was Blade Runner). It really didn't sound like my kind of thing, but I'll investigate a bit more.
Glad to hear the cold isn't necessarily terminal. It always sucks when you're down for the count on the weekend, though. That's what sick days are for.

Highly convenient when it's a duchess though maybe. "Ze answer may be 42, but ze question is 69?"
PC, i am a litle concerned about you riding around on public transport with no underwear. It is hardly surprising there are warm damp patches everywhere.

Not a fan of Ridley Scott? What about Alien... Gladiator... Thelma & Louise?
Looking at his bio I see he cut his teeth on an episode of Z Cars. That'll mean more to Ed & Terri I expect (I have access to Stratford Johns' medical notes).
Some of the bus drivers I've encountered, you're better off going commando, or you'd be forever buying new ones. And while I'm on the subject, how hard is it to allow little old ladies to find a seat before you shut the door and accelerate to 60mph?

Alien... Gladiator... Thelma & Louise
Hate them all!!
Over in these here parts, buses and stuff run on schedules, so they're known to run like bats out of hell at times, but for the most part, I can jog alongside the buses here. Mainly on account of traffic.
