Well, I did get a bit curious after our conversation in the deja-vu thread - you seem to have been around for some time, but I don't recall bumping into you before?

Now, please don't hold that against me, in case we have bumped into each other - my memory for names is practically non-existant, as many of my friends would verify. Imagine that - even forgetting the names of your friends... It's like getting a 'file does not exist' answer when searching for a document, kind of... I *know* the information is stored in my brain, somewhere - but I just can't access it!

No- i don't think we had chatted before the 'girl with the lovely entry' thread. You do remember that, yes?

Thank you for the link- i will check it out. I also noticed someone has started a similar thread, in Ask H2G2..no replies as yet though.

I don't know about you, but i tend to believe death is the end, which is a shame, because beliefs regarding afterlifes, are so damn comforting, and helpful!

However your story in the other thread is just one of many similar ones i read/heard about when i used to attend 'The Scottish Society for physicical Research' lectures, so i suppose my mind isn't totally closed, it's just that life after death is just too convienient.. and if it exists for us, why not dogs and insects(maybe it does-imagine)

But anyway such discusions are perhaps for another time and place.

I don't think my pal and i ever discussed the topic, so i'm not sure whether if she *is* watching she would approve of me lighting virtual memorial candles for her or not- she might find it a bit maudlin! Anyway, i will have a look and ponder.
