Our nearest star is about 4 lightyears away(give or take).... A lightyear is the distance light travels in one year, and light travels at 136000 miles per SECOND!However most of the stars we see at night are a few hundred thousand lightyears away, and some are millions...So as the great Douglas Adams MIGHT have said..."even an estate agent would have difficulty claiming our nearest stars are a convienient local ammeniety!" I dont therefore believe they can effect our lives.... just a bit too far away!
NEVER try and quote the above at parties....you WONT be invited back...

hi again winnoch..you can get to the page by clicking on any one of them.. or using link A155909 i don't mention clicking on them in my welcome..as i'm here via digibox & not pc..&..a lot of digibox users find they're stuck..unable to go up/down smiley page if they click on one..quite 'safe' to click on smiley via pc..

unusual to 'bump' into someone here from same village....i wonder..how many times you've past each other in 'the street'..without knowing..

Hi Emmily,
I do not know anything about digibox access,but whan you say you have to bow out of threads at around post 14 does this mean that you can only go 14 posts down,if so you can allways change the URL address so that it reads 10 at the end instead of 20 or 1,and then it will only show 10 posts at a time,you may already know this and I might be barking up the wrong tree,but it was just a thought,and like I said I know nothing about digibox access. let me know if it was any help
