That's the trouble with regeneration, you never know what you're going to get.
I'm back (sort of) following my medical redeployment into a temporary office job, I have now been appointed to a new, permanent, role in a desk job elsewhere in the council. Well, I say elsewhere, it's actually at the other end of the office, still getting verbal abuse from people who can't accept they are in the wrong, but down a telephone line this time. It seems quite a busy department so I don't think I'm going to have a lot of free time (they do a lot of overtime from what I can see of it).
Until I settle in and know a bit more about what's involved there, I think I will confine any h2g2 related activities to researching for new guide entries. I enjoyed working behind the scenes as a volunteer, but I think my workload is going to be quite large, and with my ongoing health issues as well, I'm considering myself to be semi-retired from now on (must buy a rocking chair and some new slippers).

...and we're back. Of course. Everything about the transition went smoothly, everything worked properly and nobody fell out and started bickering with anybody. At all. Nope. Nopey nope nope. (he said with a perfectly straight face)(liptremble)

So, here I am, writing my last posting on the BBC version of h2g2. I shall now retire to the h2g2_guide twitter account (and my own RadoxTheGreen account) and allow the switchover to take it's course.
When I return, as I am confident I shall, I will be posting on the all new, independently operated h2g2. I am looking forward to it in a strangely calm manner. It strikes me that rabbits look at oncoming car headlights in the same way.
Anyway, this is Radox signing off at the Beeb and leaving the techy types to have the nervous breakdowns. Fare ye well, all ye Hootooers.
DON'T PANIC - We will all sail through this easily if we just drink enough alcohol to cushion the transmat.
Someone pass me the peanuts!
