I don't know Raven, but very sorry to read of his accident. My thoughts are with you all, and on a brighter note, perhaps the coma is just what his body needs to recover ...... we're all praying for that.

Fizzymouse thats just what someone said to me yesterday, that maybe that was helping his body to repair itself, if gave me great hope

Never give up hope - my old mum used to say 'where there's life, there's hope', and she was right.

I've seen people in the ICU who you wouldn't have given tuppence for make a full recover and walk out the door, so let's all hope that's what's ahead for Raven. Remember, he can probably hear you well enough, so keep talking to him and telling him that everyone is willing him on

Obviously the individual circumstances are always different, but it could just be the brain shutting down all but 'essential' services - including consciousness - to focus it's resources on the damaged bits. It's what his body needs now, and if it's fixable I'm sure it'll be 'fixed' during this time.

Always look on the bright side, this could be the beginning of the recovery.

For those that don't know: 2legs was in a coma and he's still around (he just told me it's OK to mention that here).
