h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

You say in your intro that you loved FF8...but have you played FF6 and FF7? I'm in the process of playing through both (very very slowly )...and both have some of the best storylines I've seen in a game....

...and I agree, the original Devil May Cry rules ...but the sequel kinda sucked, or so I thought Ah well...we'll see what the third one is like in December...

Yes. I loved FF8 best of all. It was my first one, and I love the whole Rinoa grows up to become Ultimecia theory, which if you look at the clues is obviously the case.

FF6 yeah. I love the characters but the map's murder. And FF7 is a legend and has the best minigame ever ^^ dressing up Cloud in a dress. "ooh, I'll have something shiny and soft" *sniggers*

I'm not sure about the sheer size of Cloud's sword, or Sephiroth's grey hair. But it looks pretty good.

I agree about Devil May Cry. The first one was exquisite. And the architecture of that castle *closes eyes in rapture* it was inspired by one of my favourite artists - Antoni Gaudi, I saw a load of his work in Barcellona a couple of christmasses ago.
And the level at which you can interact and jump around on it's great. And the combos. And turning into a gigantenourmous flaming demon and kicking butt.
Excuse me while I go play it.

The second was a big disapointing pile of pap. I liked a few of the moves but the new deviltrigger system made me want to cry.

I didn't like the way the levels were designed.....and the camera was sometimes a bit crappy....

yeah. It was too big and you spent too much time wandering around. And because there were fewer natural barriers you have an overload of those crappy glowing 'magic' barriers.
