First foray into the land of h2g2 - I am a bit daunted by how little I understand of this part of the BBC but will stumble around and find my feet and till I know more - this I offer.
I specialise in providing solutions for all levels of imbalance and dysfunction through a combination of disciplines which includes osteopathy, cranio-sacral therapy, zero point balancing and aromatherapy. I use a whole body naturopathic approach and include the chemical balances in treatment procedures. I have begun to develop strategies for dealing with post-traumatic/psycho-somatically induced debility, a problem that is rarely cured by the conventional methods.
I would love to hear from anyone else who has discovered the psycho-emotional pathways incurrence in these conditions. The lack of recognition of the translating pathways into the chemical/physical realms has led to many people being consigned to a dulled experience of life and detatchment from their body's intelligence due to prescription drugs (designed to mask the symptoms but which ultimately provide little opportunity for true healing).

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
