I must confess I like this entry and the authors style, this entry is an informative and well written account of the life of this Irish poet and dramatist.

I found the description of the early years of his life most interesting, the fact that he met George Bernard Shaw, William Morris, William Ernest Henley and Oscar Wilde, was fascinating and it had me speculating if these men influenced Yates work.

I had overlooked his poetry and it was good to be reminded that here was some wonderful writing that I had missed. The Wild Swans at Coole (1917) is well exceptional and worth reading.

The section on the his work in the theatre although a basic guide, is never the less an insight into his plays. This serves as an introduction to discover his works, 26 plays I had no idea he had written so many.

His private life and loves, his political career as Senator of the Irish Free State are all covered. As is his award of his Nobel Prize for Literature. The description of the work in his last years and his love of France and Italy will be interesting to those who only him only by his published works.

All in all excellent entry.
