Hi David
Being the nosy type I dropped by your page and was interested to read that you want to study animation at University, which by a mildly curious coincidence is what my daughter would like to do.

Hey-ho!
Yeah, animation has always been a big love of mine ever since I was so high. *Places hand 2ft above floor in comical manner*
If I fail to click with animation, I'll try my hand at newspaper cartoons. Anything fun and cartoony I'd like to do.
Where is your daughter studying at the moment?, he says with an added tone of charm and sophistaication to his voice.

My daughter has just started her eleventh year at school but has already taken her GCSE Expressive Arts Exam (a year early as it's an additional 'out-of-school' subject).
She hopes to go on to Durham University, which is close to us, probably so Mum can still do her washing, ironing and cooking.
*Waves to Dave*
With regard to Wallace & Grommit, she says that she does like them, but not as much as she used to and prefers to draw animé characters.

Only if Snow White has been decapitated!
Art is one of Mair's favourite past times and school subjects. She is always drawing manga-style drawings and if you'd like to view a few of them, here's a link to an album at Fotango, where I uploaded some of her work to for friends and family to view.

Yes - the more blood and gore the better, which I suppose is quite unusual for a vegan.
We bought Mair a DVD boxed set of 'Nightmare On Elm St' films for Crimbo and for her birthday 'Cannibal the Musical', which she finds hilarious.

Yes...but I don't think that she found it gory enough. (Must be due to a lack of blood in her diet or something...)

The drawings are really good.
I especially liked the ones of the young lady sitting by the window and the ghostly apparition.
Freddy Kreuger scares me. No matter how silly they say the films become, I still need a pillow to hide behind.

Pink grapefruit squash Dave.
Thanks for saying that you like her work SP and I'll pass the message on to Mair. You mentioned the images that Mair drew, scanned and then coloured using Adobe Photoshop.

By a strange coincidence I saw a trailer for Jason x on the Sci-Fi channel this evening, so now I know what you're talking about and it's right up my baby girl's street!
