That Entry is founded in the excitement of the event it describes. It breaks with the convention of detachment that pervades the EG by completely engaging with its subject. This new style you've admitted could be just what's needed to invigorate the Guide. I really hope so.
I hope too that the SubEd is sympathetic and fully retains the style.
You are also completely forgiven for taking the Bywater link out of my Entry on Sheffield cutlery, a tiny disappointment compared with this huge boost
