Well, in that case you should get the emails to your normal email account to check.
Apparently, it is set to your yahoo mail addy, which you get automatically when setting up the account, which means you have to sign in to check. Mine is set to an email addy which I can check in Outlook Express, so I don't need to be signed in to read and write mails.
Don't worry, the scouts have been very quiet lately, it's nice to see some positive activity once again.

my mum was just on the phone, telling me that my brother has visited - he hadn't talked to my dad for five years now. She's over the moon, as you may imagine.

Well that's a turn up for the books, and what miracle brought about the change of heart then - did they just realise that life's too short.

I have no idea. Apparently, my mum has talked to my brother, telling him that my dad was very unhappy with the situation, although he'd never had admitted it, nor would he ever admit that he made a mistake - but then, that's my dad, he has always been like that.
