Well good for you I wish I had your enthusiasm for such things. I appear to be stuck in a rut.

Ahh, but then I never thought I had this ability, and I'm still not
convinced I really have. So far, I haven't written any 'fiction'. I totally rely on things I have experienced.

But Bel you're never really convinced you can do anything ..... until you've been doing it for ages and even then you still doubt. You'll be brilliant at it I'm sure.

You are absolutely right, you know? But then I don't consider my doubts to be a weakness, they drive me forwards, permanently trying to improve what I do. The recent EotM and UG pick really gave me a boost, because it seems I must be doing something right. Maybe I should try the lottery next.

Perhaps you should. You're really having a good run lately. I was nominated many times for EotM but never managed to get many votes so very well done on that one.

It was a very nice ending to what I felt (and still feel) was a very unrewarding process which I don't want to repeat - ever. So yes, winning the EotM for an entry of that blasted project was balm on my soul.
