Even Gnomon can miss things, one of the entries I had subbed had wrong data in it - my bad, I hadn't checked, but trusted they were right. Was a very negative feedback on that entry

Well, on the brightside, there is no data in this entry. I checked the facts pretty thouroughly before posting it and Gnomon has cast his eye over it, so what could go wrong.
I'm sure if there were any errors they'd have been spotted by now it's not that technical an article to warrant worry on that scale.
Enjoy our day on the FP, and get on with that Frankfurt entry

Thanks Fizzy, you're probably right - and anyway, if there should be mistakes, they can be corrected. Just don't want to be the cause for negative feedback.

I guess that's something you'll have to get used to: feedback happens in PR, seldom on the edited entry, although we're made to believe that really very many people actually read them.

Well, I look at them every day, I admit I only read the one's I'm interested in and the one's written by my friends or acquaintances from around here, but I wouldn't read them like it was a duty.
Unfortunately, I seldom have anything interesting to say about them - that hasn't already been said by someone else. I thought some folks - who don't hang around peer review, might have posted to say they'd seen a Fata Morgana.
There's time yet - maybe tonight someone will have something to say on the subject
Gotta go out now, talk later

All I've ever seen are the small ones on hot roads, but maybe you're lucky and somebody has seen a real one.
Have a good evening

Thanks for fixing up Fata Morgana for me, EF, I actually knew there was no mention of it in the Agatha Christie link, but I could have sworn I read the novel of that name in the 70s. I used to be a great big AC fan - I've read everything she ever wrote.

I wouldn't have known if it hadn't been for the email of a friend, who knows all Agatha Christie stories. Even then it took me a while to realise that what I found on the internet was only the German title. I'm only glad nobody else noticed, yet another entry where I failed to check all the data, just because it didn't occur to me that this could be wrong.

Well, it's my fault too, I knew it wasn't mentioned in the AC entry, and I would have questioned it if I didn't think I remembered reading it
I can only think the book must have contained a reference to fata morgana, and that's what's stuck in my head.
Don't beat yourself up about it.

No, I won't beat myself up about it, but will have to look and work even more thorough in the future.

Blimey, more than two months since we last talked here.
I think it's not a bad idea to do a collaborative entry, but I guess we should have a rough concept first. It desn't run away, though, so if that's ok with you, I'll try to think something up over the xmas period, when I'm at home, having a holiday.

Hope you're feeling better today Bel, I'm chuffed to have a FP entry for the weekend, but even more chuffed that someone commented, it doesn't always happen with my entries - but it love it when it does.
Hope you have a very Happy New Year, and on that very topic, when are we going to put together our entry on hair dyeing been keeping abreast of the postings in your journal and the thread I started, so we have quite a lot of research to work with.
Let me know when you're ready to go.

Yes, it's cool when somebody comments, although it doesn't mean that nobody reads it if nobody comments - I know tzhat, I don't comment all that often.
The entry, right - maybe I should go through the posts and make a list of things suggested.

Husband just suggested to invite his mum over for tomorrow night. That means I'll spend the rest of today and most of tomorrow preparing things. I'm not happy at all.
