Blues Shark - For people who like this sort of thing, then this is just the sort of thing they'll like Posted Feb 12, 2007
I'm not really sure what we were supposed to do against Italy. They re-grouped very well after the slaughter in Rome, and weighed nearly a stone more per man in the pack.
It's not as if we were ever in any danger of losing the game.
And that prediction about Wales is looking a little shaky now, as well, I'd suggest. Comprehensively beaten by a Scotland team that were very poor in the opening week.

Monday morning at 1000. Right then, better go get a copy of 'How to succeed at interviews'. Oh, and the current incumbent *isn't* on teh panel, which is a bit of a blow.
I think I must be first out the internal applicants, and I'm not sure that's a good sign, either.

On the other hand it does give you the opportunity to set the bar.
If you go first then the other candidates have to beat you effectivly.

Actually, I've just dug about in the meeting room calanders and I think I'm second out of 4. Which is okay, I think.

I gather that you didn't get the job, Kerr? Have you asked for feedback on what you were lacking (or what you could have done better)?

Oh good! Perhaps it was the tone of your post, Kerr - you were sounding despondent - not like you if you haven't had the interview yet. Come on - go for it!!!

True although as you're lot scored first the worse it could have been was 43-3.
All the best for later BTW.

Right well, interview number 1 out the way. Which I think went pretty well. No awkward silences and a fair bit of smiling and nodding from people on the panel, which has got to be a good sign.
Just got to wait three weeks or so to see if I get through to the next round...

I'm not really here Posted Feb 28, 2007
That's quite a long time! I can't keep my fingers crossed for that long, but not bursting into tears and panicking loudly because they've locked the door and you can't get out is a good sign (yes, I've done that). No wonder I could never get rid of 'assistant' from my job title!

Three Weeks!
Not even Rip van Winkle would wait that long.

Oh, I know. Upstairs are utter shite at sorting this sort of thing out. I woiuldn't mind, but the outgoing person gave them four *months* (one more that she had too) notice. So now they start sorting out a replacement. When she's got two weeks left. Clever.

That must lead to a smooth transition, handover period.
Whoops sorry there is now it's just blind panic at a leisurely pace.

I have a feeling that since I'm the one that's been working with her, all that will happen is that every piece of paper on her desk will simply move on to mine.
