Cheers smiley - pirate I'll have to look that out if I get a moment in a book shop. I don't generally do books, so it might be some while off!

Personally I think everyone with a PC at w*rk should be allowed access in their lunch hour, I think I'll run for parliment next time round as the "Obligatory Hootoo at W*rk" party.

I used to work in the RAF with a guy who got out at very short notice to become the "Save The 2CV Party" no surprises he didn't get elected, but it got him out of the mob pretty damn fast. It normally took 18 months to get out early, I think it took him more like 18 days. A loophole in procedures I think was to blame.

I tend to read a lot of magazines. I'll read a book if I'm particularly interested. I did "The Rocker" (the Phil Lynott biography) on a weekend once. I also ploughed through the Patricia Cornwell book where she claimed to have discovered the identity of Jack The Ripper. I must admit I was unconvinced and disappointed by that one.

Strangely enough a good friend of mine came to stay in Cambridge a few weeks ago, I made the effort to go across and see him while he and his wife were there. We ended up in the Fitzwilliam Museum looking at paintings by Walter Richard Sickert....

It was very odd looking at work that had POSSIBLY been done by one of the most imfamous killers of all time.

The North Sea - always bloody chilly, whatever time of year. Have you heard Billy Connolly's sketch about paddling off the coast of Aberdeen?

Budweiser?

No, it goes along the lines of him being the first ushered out into the depths of the cold water by his school-mates. He described his swimming costume as something knitted, rather than snug fitting, which he was avoiding getting wet, as the weight of the thing might drag him under once saturated.

He described a sudden murmour amongst the rest of the group stood on the shore and turned to see what the fuss was about, bearing in mind he was at his maximum self-imposed depth of about mid-thigh deep water. What had caused the ruccas, was the fact that a speed boat had passed some hundreds of yards off shore and the swell from the wake was now approaching Bill at an alarming speed. He said, the next thing he heard was a noise exactly the same as when you stuff a hot jacket potato up a donkey's rectum.... It took some moments to realise it was actually him making it, in response to his private parts being submerged in bitterly freezing cold water as the wave went past. smiley - rofl

Let's face it, you've got to be dubious about something that will swim the wrong way up a river!!
