pop punk in general is good stuff, but the more hardcore stuff is much better.
look at the vandals, they're HUUUUUUGGGGGGGGEEEEEE in the states (at least that's the impression i get) and they haven't chaged a bit! they must be innit for the art! ( though some may argue that hardcore punk is not an art.)
Less than jake are a good example, they are popular all over the world, and still play really small gigs just for the fun of it, it's not the money.
