h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I sat within earshot of a toddler who had a peppa pig game on an iPad, for a four and a half hour flight. I pity the younger generation of parents who have to endure such stuff for even longer than a four and a half hour stretch.

I really, really hate that show. Thankfully we don't watch it ourselves, but you can't escape. Friend's houses, television screen, little aforementioned ride-ons, magazines and toys in shops, wherever I go that irritating little pig seems to follow me.

Ah well. At least it isn't on freeview (I think) so we can never catch it by accident in our house.

It's one of the last days I'll have with before I start work, so I'm aiming to go out for the day and spend some time with him rather than dragging him to a playgroup or something. After the manic day that was yesterday I might look at the weather and see about going to Attingham Park (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/attingham-park/wildlife/). We can easily spend a whole day there just grubbing around and playing on the play park.

We forgot we didn't have the car, so we spent an hour and a half at the train station instead.

No trains today, but we are actually off to Attingham with a neighbour. Yay!

Off to a parenting event this afternoon, and then on up to Manchester to see the delightful Pastey and Mrs Pastey.
