Someone asked me for my middle name on MSN (where my nicknane is Vip). I know this person in RL. I asked whether she wanted my real middle name or my h2g2 name. And I meant it too.

It's Anne, by the way.

OOoh dear, I did have a debate today, entirely with myself, whether I should be fussy about the spelling and pronouncation of my h2g2 name... Z, spelt Z, not Zed, pronounced Zed not Zee...
Guess what? I'm actually in the computer cluster w*rking on my essay! see I made it eventually..
Hope the rehersal went ok, Neil seemed to have enjoyed it...

It could be worse vip, you could have a stupid middle name like I do. In fact I dislike my middle name so much I'm going to have to bleep it out.

As I don't know what yours is it is difficult comment. And I also happen to think that Quentin and Forbes (especially Forbes ) are two really quite funky names. Maybe better as middle names, but funky nonetheless.

What;s wrong with Harold? One of the nicest tenors in the music department is called Harold. Or Hector, one of the two.

Well, everyone already knows my middle name. They just usually don't realise it...
