Journal Entries
Progress 16.9.02
Posted Sep 16, 2002
- Responded (if somewhat testily at times) to the comments and critiques that were posted during my absence.
- Deleted the unedited Guide entries that I based the Uni project off of. They were out of date and redundant.
- Revised introduction so it reflects the new direction I'll have to take with the entry, and what topics will and will not be covered.
- Added some open source/free editors to the list of HTML editors.
- Added style sheet to the list of items needed to create a webpage.
- Mentioned the file transfer feature within editors and that hosts often offer a file transfer feature so that you don't necessarily have to by a file transfer program.
- Mentioned Opera in the list of major browsers.
- Put the blurb in bold at the top of the entry so people know that I'm back and working on it again.

Oh! Er...

Guess I dropped the ball on tweaking the cookies entry- it's been approved. *shrug* Perhaps it's for the best- no matter how much I fiddled with it, there'd always be someone dissatisfied.

The CSS entry is up! Someone pointed out a couple errors though, so I may go back and edit it.
Still dithering on the cookies entry. Too lazy to go back and review it all again, but I do want it to be accurate.. Sigh.

The CSS entry has been sent to the editors for final approval.
Still dithering about whether or not to keep tweaking the browser cookies entry or just let it be, whatever flaming I might get when it is finally posted. Need to contact the new subeditor for that one...

Been a bit dormant on the Guide recently. My wake up call was the notification that the CSS entry had been recommended! Guess I better put that last bit in there...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
