Ah! Well maybe he's sticking to that idea then.

Possibly. Well the gig was excellent and I bought Brian's live cd/dvd and also got him to sign it after much fiddling about with the inlay cards-why are they always so impossible to take out of dvds? He did it with no problem-I told him I'd spent ages trying to pull the card out and it hadn't worked. He said it was because I didn't have a vandal in me!!

Some of them are so difficult to get out!!! And I've seen new ones where the inlay slides out the top rather than sideways.

Great that you got it signed though.

Yeah it was good.

That sounds a bit mad...! What I think is funny is how some older people can't quite get their heads around using boxes like that. My nan could never fathom how to put tapes away in those little swing boxes. It used to make me laugh, cause to me it was just like shutting a book, but she couldn't work it out.

Suppose it's what you're used to. Dread to think what the technology will be when we're 80! We'll all have microchips in our fingers or something.

eugh don't say that, that's a horrible thought. Like that terrifying programme that was on with Robert Carlyle and Benedict Cumberbatch where Benedict's character came back to the UK after living in China or something because his brother died. He was implicated in his brother's death and was tailed around the country. They microchipped him in the arm and monitored his every move. Scared the living daylights out of me. I hope our society doesn't end up like that, that's not living, it's fear.
Can't remember what the programme was called but it was on BBC1 a while back.

too right. Have you seen the review on David's web site of his theatre appearance? Made me laugh. If you go to www.david-tennant.com and go down to Love's Labour's lost opens to critics praise, there's bit from the Times at the end... smiley - rofl

Did you get to see him in the end?

I found this on youtube: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uu3aowKNF_Y&feature=related

This is quite a raucous one when he does it live now.....

Never got the chance to see him! Had so much going on. Stupid excuse I know. Will get to see him eventually. Good song though. He looks kinda different to how he sounds, if that makes sense.

Yeah I know what you mean. That's a shame you missed him. But keep a lookout because he's started to tour with his band now. Unfortunately they couldn't all make it to the gig I was at, but he brought a loop pedal with him, and put together all this stuff. It was really clever. And he's on itunes now.
