Okay, I guess I'll have to put it another way. I don't plan to install the .NET framework ever. I am, in fact, avoiding the .NET framework like the plague. You make .NET sound inevitable and indispensible. Maybe it will be some day but right now I neither want nor need it.

Please yourself. I'm more interested in ends rather than means, personally, and I don't mind getting my hands dirty. But that's where you and I part company.
