I don't know you so well, but I just read your response to the Eds on the Lake Peigneur Entry. I stand by what you say and am totally dispirited by their position. I think I am going to stay very quiet again here on h2g2 from now on.

Thanks for that.
I'd welcome your opinion on something I've been thinking about. I don't know if you ever read it, but the best Edited Guide-style Entry I ever wrote didn't make it through PR either. It was on the Battle of Orgreave at the height of the 1984-5 Miners' Strike, and its final PR form is here:
while the (IMO better) original is here:
Orgreave was similar to the Lake Peigneur Entry in that I compromised as far as I was prepared to, and finally pulled it rather than neuter it. Unlike LP, the aspects that the Eds still wanted changed are undisputed fact - in fact they're part of the judicial record. The final knockback that time was here:
What I'm considering is putting it back in PR and inviting the Slants to let it through if picked, and to run it on the Front Page as a gesture of solidarity with the future community of a post-BBC h2g2. So what if it defies the BBC's (arguably craven) journalistic guidelines? That really shouldn't matter with all the disclaimers around the place.
What do you think?
