It's done
If you'll take a glance and check I've done nothing detrimental (I've also added a few Roman links you might want to check) please do let me know if you want anything changing back
When you're happy with the subbing I'll return it to the Edsto join the queue for the Front Page (it won't be long - there aren't that many ready)

Looks good to go to me, GB.
The one thing I wonder about (just because of my interpretation of House Form, not because I want you to change it back personally) is the way you've de-italicised some of the de la Pryme quotes. I guess you know such stuff a lot better than I do, mind.
Thanks for a neat job as ever.
Have you been there yourself, btw?

We can't italicise and use single quotes. One or t'other... I can pop it back into italics if you like, whatever you prefer
I've not been myself, and I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadI have to say you are the only person I know who could possibly make an empty field interesting
I've been to Whitby today. Gawd that place is beautiful. Could have stayed a whole week but had to come back

Would you like me to send it back to the Eds as is, or shall I replace the italics tags you mentioned?

I've had a note from the Eds:

Did you take any snaps?

No. It was falling dark and raining when I went there a few weeks ago.
It might be possible to get an atmospheric ground level pic. I'll talk to AB (closest Researcher I know).
Better might be aerial though. I'll check what Google Earth looks like.

The location is:
53 29.90' N, 0 33.78’ W
If you copy and paste the string above into the 'fly to' box in Google Earth, you can zoom down on to it and then capture the image.
Any use? (In fact, should this info be in the Entry?)
If you just Google "Gainsthorpe Medieval Village" for images there are a few other possibilities too. This is the best ground level one:
http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/138360
It goes to show, though, how little is revealed from that viewpoint.
Among the aerial shots, the one used by English Heritage for the webpage:
http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/daysout/properties/gainsthorpe-medieval-village/
is about the best because of the low sun when it was taken, sharpening the features with shadows.

OK, although Malabarista did reply to the email that she might be able to draw something from the same source so it depends who's quicker, I guess. If you submit a photo to the Eds, remember the format has changed, they're quite big now but I forget the dimensions
