I'm really sorry for hijacking NSS. I was just being silly and got carried away. I should have been more considerate of the rest of you. I assure you my intention was not to take over the story.

It's your story and we can't not have you in it. I'm going to make one more post for the sake of continuity and then will bow out.

It's a great story and has been fun. Thanks for letting me be a part of it. I'll lurk occassionally to see how things are going.

You're one of the best, as well as one of the nicest.
That stuff I posted was because I was angry at myself, and it was intended to be understood that way. These deus-ex-machina things in battle threads are something I hate, and yet I went and did it myself. Sheesh.
And it isn't my story, not remotely. The only sense in which it's mine was as the device I chose to try persuade Ben back. No-one else thought it would work, or could even see what I was getting at, quite. So I just weighed in. But from there, you others made it what it is.
What the N-SS has become belongs to us all. If there is a way we can improve it, it's for us ALL to get more receptive, spark off each others' ideas more, mix and share each others' characters more. You've been among the best at that game.
With the possible exception of the remarkable (don't tell him I said that) Dr MT, there's no-one IMHO who gives as much to the story as you.
So please tell me that you take all that back. Please stay, and please incidentally accept MY apology because I was the one who screwed up back there.

Did I ever mention that I seem to misinterpret people's meanings a lot? I thought that writing myself out of the story would 'fix' things. What a mess.

So what do you want me to do now? I'm airborn heading west. Right now I don't have a clue how to undo it. I'll need some time to figure out a plausible way to reappear.

And we'll just chock it up to misunderstandings. Maybe I'll learn not to go off half-cocked before I find out what is really going on.

As to Dr MT, I never have the foggiest idea what he's talking about either. The sheep I can understand.
