I cannot tell you how much better you have made me feel since reading your piece.

I have become very aware that any skill I possess as a person who writes is much more about communication of a passion than the need to 'write' a perfect article. 'Touching' someone through writing is just as important as teaching them, perhaps more so. Perfect grammar eludes most of us in this texting/email high speed life, even though I once spoke and wrote correctly! Though I have to admit spelling counts with me still!

My ambition is to write that way as a wholly natural style. I can relax into it these days, but it still takes a conscious decision to relax.

Lessons about style are deeply taught, aren't they? I'm only glad I was looking out of the schoolroom window when they served up that perfect grammar part.
