Why are you telling me this stuff?
Have you got threads mixed up?
This isn't the Public Sector Wallahs.
This is Pin - water off a seal's back!

You better had bother me again.
Just not on public sector excesses, if that's OK.
It's getting to be a soft target anyway, don't you think?

Will keep public sector out of it.
They seem to be taking it all too easily. Most of them will get better redundancy settlements than those handed out in the 80's. Better to have a 'hardship' cycle every 20/30 years than all out war.
Give it to the end of the year when the real effect comes home. Unite will just have to bite. Doubt if they will get the treatment dished out to the miners. Could it be time to exploit the natural resources south of the wash and break up one or two of the wealth squandering communities. smiley - smiley

You mentioned quite liking the Gainsthorpe Entry.
Any interest in taking a photo for it?

From my recent excursion, there's a slightly more convincing earthwork behind and to the left of this photographer, that's all.

Is it possible that your Gainsthorpe article triggered this ?

I had intended to leave this thread at post 35 having made the point.
I was dragged into making post 40 which I again intended to be my last.
However I just have to go one more since SWL has come back.

Sorry, I haven't read the backlog and I know there are a plethora of other threads where this may also be covered.
Can I ask that moderation be handled by adults on the new hootoo and that members be treated with courtesy?
For instance, would it be possible to warn members privately (or publically) if a post crosses an imaginary and/or arbitrary line? I have no problems with posts that offend being summarily removed but treating long-serving members of the community with contempt is part of the BBC baggage I would hope the new community-led hootoo might leave behind.

Post 16 from this thread.

AB - Once again we have the spectacle of one of your long-winded whinges. This time you decided to spread it out in instalments. Instead of the "What happened next" balls, why not have your whinge and the accompanying appeal for sympathy in one post and get it over with instead of cluttering up Ask H2G2 with your "Eebagum, it wasn't like this when I were a lad, this used to be all fields, I'm 103 you know" bilge?

Just what would an honourable man do ?

One of the long list of PR rejections is the account of the 1975 Vicky disaster. I'd like to find a way to redeem that one in particular.

I'll email the URL for Queen Vic. smiley - ok

I'm thinking of setting up a Blog to work the Internet pretty in much the same way that I worked my space in h2g2.
As Ben keeps telling me we are living in todays world and as you are saying there are those among us who are a pain in the arse.

Go here you started it :- F76045?thread=8113410&post=107421034#p107416058 smiley - spacesmiley - ok
