Respect. (It was supposed to be a play on the handle, as in Old + precious-stone-set-in-silver-sea, or other part of Dick2Act2Scene1, according to pref...)
Oh, never mind...
This new one's good, too.
You're into this, aren't you?
Anyway - work beckons, unfortunately

Tommy Mac and WW2 http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F111306?thread=255088&post=3517789#p3517789 I think the stories had their origins on other DNA Sites. I met Tommy here:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F111306?thread=246247

Thanks for this, Dad.
Who'd have thought that people could speak so clearly, just through the words they leave as flickers on a screen?
I can remember you talking passionately about communication being the true change-agent in the world. That was fully 30 years ago.
You were right. And you live in the community that it has fostered, among the vanguard who do so.
I'm proud to be the son of a pioneer. One day, the whole world will be at our shoulder.

H2g2 is a wonderful site but times have changed.
You need to recognise that h2g2 is now a DNA site, this makes it one stage removed from BBCi. Other DNA sites are destined to be created. As far as extending the scope of h2g2 and making it the centre of the communications world I believe the horse has bolted. H2g2 will continue in its present form but the indications are that the future lies with the DNAhub. They are in the line of command between h2g2 and BBCi and they need all the help they can get.

I was going to stick that on your Velvet Gaunlet thread but didn't want to become involved.

I was talking about the Web, not just h2g2 or even the DNAhub family.
But point taken.
Maybe I should look beyond hootoo for someone to pick up the Gauntlet...
