Wow, Rich, that is quite a collection, thought I'd drop round and say hi and we can secret spoilery discussions Ass still hasn't got around to watching The Truth. I'm interested in that magnatite connection, I'm going to have to check that one out. I think that there are enough loose ends to keep me and Ass in long posts for a while, if she doesn't watch it soon I'm going to turn up on her doorstep with and and make her.
I know you don't visit your space that often but when you do be sure to drop to mine or to the office for a

Hi Peanut Thought I'd stop by for a I need an extra strong one after the day I've had followed by a few 's which I just happen to have right here . Yes I have amassed quite a collection of X-Files stuff over the past 4 or 5 years too much really. I have sort of stopped collecting stuff for now (unless I see something I really want or it's too cheap to pass up) . I have far too little space to put it all which creates a huge amount of mess.
Having some problems with my comp at the moment, the hard drive has totally packed up now and to make matters worse I picked up a replacement tonight and that's also faulty so it's back to the shop again tomorrow. I'm supposed to be going away this weekend and wanted to get on the road tomorrow pretty much as soon as I got back from work at lunchtime but doesn't look like I will leave till later now I'm currently using my brothers comp he left behind when he moved to Dundee. I'm so desperate to still have some form of internet access. It's a little slow, ok very slow and lacks any decent programs, no IM (I tried to install it earlier but wouldn't work) which I miss & all my saved X-Files links but at least it gives me access to the net for the time being. Just means I have to search around for everything and I can't get into the BBC X-Files Forum for some strange reason on this one either .
**THE TRUTH SPOILERS**
You are right the Magnetite connection is interesting and if CSM is to be believed (I still don't trust him fully even now)had something to do with the original crash in Roswell. I've been thinking about this a lot and still not entirly sure how I feel about it but after what CSM said to Mulder in The Truth I'm starting to come around to the fact that he really is just evil and has been from the start where as before I always thought and hoped maybe there was a grain of humanity there somewhere. Guess I still do it a way, but certainly less than I did before The Truth. Hope Wiggy's not about. Haven't had time to look much into the Magnetite thing since I watched the episode. Now that I've seen them all and the mythology is sort of over, well on the small screen anyway & if the rumours are true and they plan a standalone for the next movie to make it more accessible. I plan to rewatch all the myth episodes in order over 3 or 4 weeks. There are many of the earlier myth episodes I haven't seen for ages and having seen 'The Truth' there are things I feel I need to rewatch to fully understand certain things and to get everything clear in my head. Oh yes, can't remember if I told you but Mr X, Gibson Praise & Jeffery Spender also turn up in The Truth. Spender had been in an earlier episode 'William' the episode where Scully gave William up for adoption... I know I told you about CSM, LGM, Marita, Krycek etc. but think I forgot about those 3. They really do try to feature as many past characters as possible which I felt was a nice way to end it.
I know she won't be reading this at least I hope not or she'll be spoilt by now but come-on ASS watch 'The Truth' this weekend!!! You know you want to really even if it is all over after that ok well there's at least one more movie so thankfully not completely over.
See you around

I think she is going to watch it tomorrow, but who knows she has a tendancy to delay
I'm just collapsing after a mega homework session, think I've got alot sorted anyway while I was I started ploughing through the XF tapes, got through 82517 and Deadalive, think I might be going to bed with One Son if not I'll be watching it over breakfast. It still all feels very familiar
***** Vague S9 Spoilers Ass stay away abit longer (unless you really have got around to watching it) *****
After I have done another 200 words on CF and two questions on genomes then I'll let myself follow up that magnatite connection. I think that my feelings on the CSM being evil don't need to be restated, don't make me nag lol. By nature I am a humanist, its not a poilitcal thing it is total who I am, its hard for me to contemplate a person as evil, to understand/comprehend or want to peeps who commit atrocities in a calculated way. I'm not even if I believe that there is true evil or true good but the CSM he is as inhumane as a human being gets. I'm not saying that there isn't a human being in there, there is and we see glimpses of it when he was younger but he is too far gone now to be reached, he is crimanally insane, a sick person, a very sick and scary person.
I'm desperately trying to pull the magnatite out of my subconscious, I can visulaise the pages that its on, but I can't read the words. But i do remeber that you said that you thought that BM was bad, but he didn't crop again in the truth, is that right? I still don't think that he is a bad replicant solider, he is still BM despite the changes and still makes choices. In existance (I thought) he and the other abductees are trying to protect WS and Scully herself. They came to witness the birth and to lend a hand if necessary. The LITS they were there to observe rather than intervene. Knowle and crew weren't so nice but they made choices to. The threat is always the conspiracy. I'm still undecided about the evidence of actual aliens, don't s'pose we got any actual evidence of that in TT, something more than a paperclip.
Krychek was comtemplating WS being a micracle child and for a while he put his survival at all costs mentality to aside and really contemplated that and then he got shot!
Anyway, hope the comp situation is getting sorted and that you have a good weekend, where to this time? If Ass has stalled again when you get back will you put up something about GP
LGM still brings a tear to my eye,

Finally got my comp working again now Windows is installed again but thats about all. It's gonna take a while to get all my programs back on there again much of the stuff I had was lost when my old hard drive crashed but I managed to salvage or find backups of most of the important (X-Files) stuff.
CSM's final scene in The Truth was more fitting to his character I thought than in other episodes where he has 'died' In 'The Truth' again we see him taking his power from the suffering of Mulder & Scully & others as he has all along throughout the series. His final line to Mulder in 'The Truth' "Now you can die" I thought was a perfect closing line for him to say to Mulder. In recent episodes (season 7) he has been given some redemption but now I think it can be said that he's been evil all along.
Billy Miles didn't turn up again in The Truth, can't remember if he was in season 9 at all, maybe Ass can confirm that but I'm quite sure Existance was the last time we saw him. Been thinking about what I said about BM being bad... From what I remember of Essence/Existance (its been a while since I last watched it) BM killed Lev and Parenti who were working at Zeus Genetics also Duffy Haskil who also appeared to be working in some way with the doctors but he only attacked Mulder and Doggett when he found them at Zeus Genetics, but he didn't kill them. He went after Scully, but when he found William was not what he thought he left without harming them either. So I think you are right, but I really need to see the episodes again.
Went to visit relatives at the weekend in Harwich on the East coast in Essex and got sunburnt again after just recovering from the burn I got in Cornwall. Found an X-Files T-Shirt too in a bargain bin for 50p which made up for it lol
Sounds like Ass has finally seen 'The Truth' so what did you think of it? One of the things I couldn't understand with The Truth was why would Krycek help Mulder? after Skinner shot him, that part I just can't seem to understand. Also there are many questions left unanswered. We see Marita again apparatly recovered from the tests but no explanation as to how. Gibson has gone again, but where? We still don't know what part the Alien Replacements play if any in the plans for colonisation etc... I could probably come up with 20 or more questions left hanging. Just hope some day they will be answered but I won't hold my breath. Not that I was disapointed with the finale just that my expectations were a little high that after all these years we would finally get some real answers. The court scene to me just appeared to be a narative of 9 years of mythology telling little more than we already knew.

Yay you are up and running again
I'm on total Buffy and XF overload here, Ass sent me a B tape today and I'm kind of starting on an alien thread. I'm confused though, its niggling me why was Samatha returned. Were all the 'first round abductees' returned or just the ones CSM was involved with, Samantha and Cassandra, or are they just the ones we know about. I watched Closure again and got the episode guides are out.
Samatha was saved from the conspiracy, specifically she was saved from the CSM, liberated somehow, we hope. For the powers that be too intervene at that level it must be bad. I believe in monsters but am still out on the existance of evil and the though and I'm sure that there are in this world but god thats a leap I can't take.
It kind of ruined Closure, which on a spiritual level, was pretty 'out there',it was a shame to bring god into it, talking about Mulders dialogue again, it kills a story for me sometimes.
Still The Unnatural makes up for it
BM, he was reacting to the project, using the power against them, his reactions were 'extreme' but I get it I guess. Some of Existance was graphic for me although i have no probs with beheading you kind of get immune to it on Buffy. I do not know what the intentions of the 'mid-wife' was though. 'Replicant soliders' go through an altering experience and have 'powers' but they still have choices, destiny and who gets to choose it? M+S should fall back on this community I think they would be made welcome and given sanctuary.
Ass thought Scully was abit quiet in the truth... She hasn't said much, I don't know whether thats a good sign or a bad one
Krychek and Mulder, peas in a pod

Glad to see your enjoying lots of X-Files and Buffy at the moment. Never could get into Buffy, I remember watching a few episodes from what must of been the first season when it started on the Beeb, but it never really captured my interest. Might have had something to do with being overly obsessed with XF at the time. Even the XF I hardly ever watch these days apart from when it's on TV, always seem to be doing something else, working or on the net. I'm still planning on watching all the mythology in order sometime soon (hopefully an episode a night) which I look forward to it's just finding the time.
Still having a few minor problems with the computer at the mo, mostly with IM most of the time it won’t let me sign in and when it does only lets me stay online for a few mins then signs me out. I’m gonna try downloading the update see if that’s any better or re-install Trillian although I was having problems with that too before my comp packed up totally.
The Unnatural was a great ep, I was surprised just how good it turned out much better than I originally thought it would be from what I had read at the time. Really a sort of Mythology episode but also a good standalone. The way the ABH was included was good and we got to see the ABH was around back then. Although the episode did not feature much Mulder and even less Scully and when she was in it, seemed a little out of character but I still enjoyed it and it would appear in my top 10 episodes, if I ever did one.
Got to go and cook something to eat or I might just give-in and order takeaway. Haven’t had anything since lunchtime. Here on my own all week and the place is already looking a mess! …. Will follow-up about Samantha/BM in the next day or two when I have more time.

Hehe! You haven’t been speaking to my mom have you? sounds like something she'd say I’d better do some tidying then! although there’s not really much point it just gets messy again. I’m finally going to do a carboot sale in a few weeks time (something I’ve been meaning to do for ages) so that will be a good chance to have a clearout and get rid of most of the junk, there’s lots of it! I’m probably going to need to hire a van to get it all there

That’s ok cause I don’t think she knows I’m on here either. I’ve told her but when it come to anything to do with the Internet or X-Files (XF especially) I’m sure she ignores me. She claims not to have any interest in the net, but I've always had my suspicions she uses it at work . I’m suffering from a bad dose of the flu . It just came on over night, I was fine yesterday probably just my cooking catching up with me. I’m a bit depressed as it’s supposed to be a nice weekend and it looks like I’ll be stuck inside for most of it
I used to go to boot sales often but not so much these days just occasionally when I need to have a clearout. Went to massive one last weekend, which gave me the idea of selling off some stuff but your right about coming back with more stuff. I resisted a few things last week which I now wish I had got. I did get a ‘Trust No One’ mug and a couple of XF postcard books all under 50p . About a year ago I went to one and got 6 or 7 boxed XF figures for about £8, which I was very pleased about at the time. A lot of my earlier X-Files books, 2 of the file videos and my season 1 video boxset came from boot sales. A good place to pick them up cheap

We are actually seeing sun here but I'm not getting to hopeful.
Sprogg with granny tomorrow and my friend is coming round as her sprogg is with her Dad so we are going to decorate Rosa's room. We have wine and Buffy vids lined up Its been over a week since I watched the end of season 6 and I'm still pretty blown, I guess, you probably really shouldn't do that sort thing, watch all the four eps in a day. So I'm hoping that she'll help me get sorted
You got an interest in Ufology in general Rich or is XF as far as it goes?

Thanks Peanut been feeling much better since yesterday afternoon. Still got a bit of a cold but feel much better than I did Friday & Saturday. Also my computer crashed again on Saturday so it was back to the shop again with the HDD. This time he just swapped it for a new one and this one seems fine (so far). Hopefully that will be the last time I’ll need to install Windows for a while.
So how did decorating Rosa’s room go over the weekend? Hope you managed to get it all done and she’s pleased with it Watching four eps in a day is is fine, I’ve done that often in the past, well before I got the net anyway, now I spend most of my spare time on here. I once watched 7 eps of XF in a day It was during season 4 and a friend had taped them for me from Sky so I hadn’t seen any of them and decided on a mini XF marathon.
I’m interested in UFOlogy but not in a big way or anything. I have a few of those documentary vids that are available and some programmes I’ve taped off TV which I watch now and again and a few books and stuff. Never seen a UFO as such although I did see a strange greenish glowing light in a field a few years ago. Saw it for a few seconds, looked away then back again and it had gone. Still don’t know what it was to this day. I hadn’t been drinking either so I can’t blame the

Glad you are feeling better
Rosa's room looks great, very bright lol and she was very pleased. The rest of the house is really neutral and you go into our rooms and mine is bright yellow and deep blue and hers is a fairly vivid pink. She has designs on the rest of the house current favourite is gold, eeekkk, I have created a
Someone gave me the alien interview for christmas a while ago but couldn't play it my old video my Dad gave me his when he got a new one and we can play nearly everything now. Green light huh? Just the one?
Your 'puter still going? I let a friend on mine the other day and she is a real clicker took me ages to work out what to unclick lol. You off to Alton towers?
Ass is going to drop over here soon. And we are on a thread on the on the spoiler board discussing TBO and truth and lies if you would care to join us one evening, come with . 'In answer to question four' is the title

Thankfully I’m feeling fully recovered now been a busy week at work so just as well really, but I did manage to get out of working 14 hour days earlier in the week which I was relieved about! Touch wood, the puters all OK again now since the hard drive’s been changed. Although given the last 3 or 4 weeks I don’t have much confidence in it at the moment give it a month and I’ll be satisfied it fully back to normal.
Glad Rosa likes her room, probably best really she chose the colours herself then you know she'll like it Looks like the rest of you house could be gold then soon if Rosa gets her way lol.
Is that the Alien interview that is hosted by Steven Williams (X)? That’s one of the videos I have, I’ve got one called I think (going from memory) Close Encounters – The Real X-Files & one about Alien Abduction & UFO’s in general. The light I saw is hard to put into words really, from what I remember as I only saw it for a few seconds it was sort of a green glow concentrated on a small area, possibly in a bush more than a beam of light as such.
Should be able to make it to AT depends on work as always that was the reason I couldn’t go last year but hopefully I’ll make it this time as long as I book the time off early.
I’ll take a look at the thread had to go back a few pages to find it. Thought the mods had deleted it but it was on the non spoiler board. I’m going to print it out and take a little time reading it in full I can’t read long posts on the screen or I’ll get a

half way through a reply to you everything just froze. Does that just happen, nothing would work it wouldn't even switch off till I went for the plug.
I got the Steven Williams vid and I, er, have some books. About different perspectives of Ufology in general and a fair amount of science which one day I'd like to be able to understand. I'm interested in the 'alternative culture' in general. What grabs me most is consciouness, brains, human beings and where they fit, or where we think we might fit.
Worried about stopping to think about what I'm writing in case I freeze again lol I'm truely sorry for the boinking images but think that Ass might of got off easily as this weekend I did some backround reading on how to make TBO sentient.
Then again as its seems that no one realy knows what sentient is only that they are, maybe thats a one liner that gets me out of it. How conscious it is and how intelligent it is that could mean many posts.
Discussions on the boards seem to have a short lifetime these days I tried to get something on the back pages but they had been snipped already and they were only 2 weeks old. I was still thinking about some of that stuff lol
Did you get the house tidied before your Mum got back? Or shall i nip over to hers and ask her

Hi Peanut, How are you and Rosa? Good I hope. Yes computer crashes happen to me too, usually when I’ve typed something out and haven’t saved it so I have to start all over again not so much now since I changed to XP which seems to be a lot more stable than when I was using Win 98. Sometimes you can get the computer going again by pressing Control Alt & Del together and close the program that’s causing the problem. Then if your lucky you might just be able to save your work, unless that’s the program you had to close of course but 9 times out of 10 a reset is usually needed I find.
TBO/virus I really need to rewatch some of the old myth eps and refresh on these things it’s been sometime since I watched Piper Maru/Apoc/Tunguska/Terma etc… I believe TBO (or one form of it anyway) must be sentient as it appears to have some form of intelligence/conscious. For example when it takes control of Krycek in Apocrypha. This version of TBO appears to possess the ability to access its host's memory as it did with Krycek. The The Black Cancer (the oil Mulder was infected with in Russia) is different to TBO although they both are almost indentical as in they both are able to infect a host in the same way. Whereas TBO access’s its host's memories and basically takes control of the host, once infected TBC just leaves it’s host catatonic. Like I say I really need a refresh on the earlier myth eps (pre movie) as there are things I’m not clear on. My file vids need the dust wiping off them sometime soon I think. Lol
I’ve been away from the boards for a while with just the occational visit now and again, just started going there semi reguarly again this week although I haven’t been online much this week either. I’ve noticed there seem to be a lot less posts these days, the BBC’s scheduling is most likely to blame as it appears most posts are complaints (rightly so) about scheduling. Are you keeping up with season 8? I remember you saying that you weren’t watching it at the moment. I’m currently trying to catch up with DS8 on the board will read a couple of eps this weekend.
I’m hopefully doing the bootsale I mentioned this Sunday will see how I feel tomorrow, was too tired today to do much about sorting out the stuff to sell & anyway it’s really far too hot to start sorting through stuff. If I do decide to go hopefully I’ll sell quite a lot and come back with some money rather than more stuff.
I did manage to tidy up in time. I’m normally good at that (tiding up) now if I could just perfect not making the mess in the first place I would be OK.

Hi Rich
and another (after a favour, get dusting those vids off)
Its abit early...... And I'm but its my turn to open the agency up. And despite the fact that its too early I keep thinking about Ass's sentient black oil and Apocrypha. I can't remember it at all. Except what peeps tell me and what the episode guide says
I love Ass's idea about TBO being hugely old and having massive amounts of stored knowledge. Can't get around its ability to process, it needs a brain, decided how much it can do probably depends on the species that it lives with ie the greys and the state that the black oil is in, whether it is in sluggy mode or puddle form. So what was it like in Apocrypha? Sorry Rich I'm on a mission, will you go and watch it again for me. I have brought round supplies of and
Getting really picky now (but I guess you know me when I'm on a post lol) but I had it in my head that TBO and TBC were the same thing fundmantally (although they are probably have been altered by the conspiracies) and the hosts reaction depended more on the host, some genetic thing?

Thanks for the and there’s some left so feel free to help yourself or some if your STILL hungover and here’s some fresh and Right, I watched Piper Maru & Apocrypha last night hoping it would clear a few things up for me but I think it’s just confused me more now Which I think has come from watching episodes out of order for too long. Not only that I really have neglected the files lately, there was a time when I’d watch at least 3 or 4 eps a week sometimes more. Now I hardly ever watch it apart from the new eps Monica sent me and season 8 on the Beeb I’m either on the net or just doing something else. May be my devotion to the series is waning it feels that way at times, especially lately. I hope not. I could be just the thought of there being no new eps to watch now and a lot of the sites I visit are no longer updated daily. I think it’s just taking a back seat for a while plus I'm very stressed at work right now, every job we get these days is wanted yesterday and it’s starting to get to me a bit now. I just get home and don't feel like doing much other than going on the net for a few hours and resting. I break is on the cards soon I think and I'm due some holiday soon may be a long weekend somewhere. I really need a rest from work for a few days
I always thought that TBO was different to the TBC, like you say both appear the same physically. The Black Cancer first seen in Tunguska/Terma. This is a biohaxious substance like TBO able to infect a host, but nothing more it appears. Posibly the original strain of the virus in it’s ‘purest’ form (pre mutations) having come straight from the mars rock. When infected it attacks the hosts pinel gland and sends the victim into a catatonic state. TBO however is a highly evolved sentinent viral entity that arrived here millions of years ago (WMM-FTF), possibly via a meteor. It has the ablity to enter and completely take control of its host’s actions. Also has radioactive properties which it uses as a weapon when under threat. One of the things that I was thinking about last night when I watched PM & Apoc was how TBO switches hosts? We know how it infects a host, (the oily worms) but we have never seen it actually ‘jump’ hosts on screen. May be we have and I’ve just forgotten about it but I’m sure we never did. From what I understand form the eps, TBO was first discovered by the crew of submarine ‘Zeus Faber’ in 1945 whilst they were sent to recover a nuclear bomb from the bottom of the sea. The crew were infected and TBO goes back into the sea and lays dormant until in 1995 a French salvage team come across the Piper Maru. Think that all makes sense lol tell me if it doesnt!
I can see where Ass is coming from that TBO being very old and collecting info from the all the hosts it infects. As WMM said in FTF it was the original inhabitant of the planet and arrived here millions of years ago. If this is true, which I beleive it is TBO would have had plenty of time to infect a huge number of hosts and gather lots of info. Not sure how it processes the info and if it has a 'brain' as such or something else. Don’t really have any theories on it I’ll have to think about that one for a few days.
Rich
