I'm not really here

Thre isn't another reason for being called Choirmaster is there?

Welcome to the Earth Edition of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I'm an Assistant Community Editor (ACE) and it's my job to help you settle in and help out in anyway I can. Click the reply button below this post if you'd like to answer, otherwise, enjoy your stay.

You might like to check out http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A559523. It's a page I've written that has some links you might find useful. If you'd like to visit me, click my name at the top of this post and you'll come directly to my personal space.

Thank you!

I actually read about ACEs before, but I didn't really believe someone is going to give me such nice information right after I logged in. You seem to have a good managing system in the h2g2.

Your page was very informative too, I already checked the Graphic Gallery and the Birthday Page.
The Collaberative Workshop sounds nice, too. This reminds me, how do you put a URL in a conversation like this, when you don't use GuideML?

And, I'm also looking for a nice Tag or character code for the Tabulator (TAB). Could you help me on that?

Thank you, Choirmaster

Thank you!

You can only put internal links in conversations, anything that begins with www.bbc.co.uk. If you type it in with the http bit, it will automatically turn into a link when you post. Any external links need to be put into a guide entry or your user space, and then linked to from the conversation.

Guide ML isn't really my thing, I'm not an expert, if you drop into http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/GuideML-Clinic you'll either find what youa re looking for, or you can post a query.
Alternatively you can post direct to Amy the Ant's page - http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U135642
As she's a pretty good Guide ML Guru. smiley - smiley

Hi there Choirmaster smiley - biggrin

I see you are in Mina's capable hands so to speak. I would just add my words of greeting.

There is a musicl society within h2g2 which might be of interest to you. I don't have the link handy but will find it and post it here for you (it might not be until tomorrow).

In the meantime, once again welcome and enjoy yourself. Any questions, feel free to ask although i'm not promising i will know the answer smiley - winkeye

Thank you for the Musicians Guild-Link! I'll check it in a minute!

And to Mina:
I guess you can be relieved the people in the GuideML Clinic told me there is no Tabulator around...
*sniff*

I'll just try writing without it. I guess that's possible, just my English teacher always made me use it in written text...

Glad to hear that (about my teacher)

Well, I now tried to solve the Tabulator problem with the TABLE tag. It seems to work, but I guess I'll take your advice and just skip the Tabulators. It's much easier now.

Furthermore, the Table tag does seem to accept Font sizes. You don't happen to know where I can find help for the tag? I already asked in the GuideML Clinic for it...

thanks, Choirmaster

The clinic is the best place to be answered, as that's where all the guide ml gurus hang out to answer questions.
You could go and ask Amy the Ant http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U135642, as she's not bad at helping, if you like. Another good one to ask is Ottox, as he's not too shabby either. http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U150740
Hope that helps. smiley - smiley
