Misguided researchers?
Posted Dec 13, 2001
There seem to be a growing number of misguided researchers, more interested in pushing their personal beliefs than in making a useful contribution to the guide.
Should there be a rating system for researchers? Maybe something that would help the SCOUTS and ACES separate the serious from the frivolous?

Directory service?
Posted Aug 20, 2001
A real guide would seek to provide useful information about things on a number of different levels.
For example a city guide book should take you on a tour of the place highlighting points of interest, but will also include a directory of useful things, like where the chip shops are.
An interactive guide (such as h2g2) could provide even more to it's community by going the extra yard and providing a directory service which allows the community members to rate linked web sites.
Does anyone know of a site that already provides this type of service? If it exists is it any good?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
