I am off to Maidstone this morning to take K. to pottery and then lunch at the Blackthorn Trust.

How lovely to hear from you! Yes, we had a lovely time camping. At least little did. I was off colour for the first five days, PMT first then tummy pains and I was very tired. I found the heat difficult to take, but luckily, my tent has a separate groundsheet, so it was possible to raise the skirts of the tent to allow a breeze through. I spent a lot of the first few days sleeping.

We went to the East Sussex/West Sussex border - not too far from Nutley.

Little found a kindred spirit - a lovely little 10 year old boy. Imagine my delight when I got home and found a message from his mother inviting him to her son's 11th birthday party on Thursday coming. I've taken a day's leave as she lives the other side of Ashford.

I hope the day with K was a good one. We are looking forward to seeing you again. I have next week off - maybe we can arrange something that week. Not quite sure when, as Merlin's brother is over from South Africa and I know he wants us to meet him.
