"I looked up the death certificate for my brother on one of these ancestry/genealogy sites (you can't actually see the certificate, but you can look up the reference details to send away from it on-line) - and would you believe it - they spelled his surname wrong! *words fail*"
This is not surprising. Clerks will be clerks will be clerks.

Shnooks went to Austin to stay with friends. Uvula had just gotten out of the hospital and both agreed that it would be better if they were not in close proximity.
Nobody asked me nothing.

'both agreed that it would be better if they were not in close proximity.' Uvula isn't infectious is she?

Just got back from the IOW to see my folks. Dad was fascinated about the genealogy stuff. We forgot about going through the photos until just before we were due to leave, so they'll have to wait until next time.

My goodness, are't we a literate lot! The info on the Holy See was pretty staggering too.
I'm likely to be splitting up with Roy. Had a long talk with him over the weekend.

Well it's all over now, bar the shouting as they say. R picked up his things and took them to his house. It's amazing how much stuff he had here, given that he was only here on weekends.
Little was violently sick last night so I'm taking the day off to look after him today. I wonder if our splitting up had anything to do with it? He feels really sorry for himself at the moment.
One thing he did like when we were over at R's place was a Doctor Who shop in the shopping precinct. The people who ran the shop were lovely.

A Dr. Who Shoppe! Um, does Roy need a room mate?
So, what are you going to do with the empty sock drawer?
I would offer more commiserations, but my ex has begun visiting my store on a regular basis and when introduced her as my ex to an old boss of mine last sunday morning, she said,"I'm not really his ex, we just don't live together."
What shouting?
I've been working seven days a week at two jobs just to stay broke. So I've spent a lot less time on line than usual. The n2 crew is still busy, though, and we've had some very long threads recently.
The Post celebrated my 150th episode of Platypus Dancing last issue.

"Well it's all over now, bar the shouting as they say'
Is that just a cliche or were you still arguing?

'"Well it's all over now, bar the shouting as they say'' - no - no arguing - as you guessed, it's a cliche. It means there are still things to talk over or sort out, but there has been an ending. A bit like a football match, where the final score is known, but the fans are still shouting (or chanting).
'does Roy need a room mate?' Yes! What am I going to do with the empty sock drawer? Just had a look - it's still empty.
"I'm not really his ex, we just don't live together." - so she's claiming you're still an item?
'I've been working seven days a week at two jobs just to stay broke.' Doesn't sound like fun!
I've just spilled some liquid on my keyboard, and i4'ts acting u1p. For some reason I can'4t write a letter 1p without getting the 1 and some of the other keys are acting strange. Carriage return is7:
