h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi, Danny, thanks for your offer of help. From your experience, will I be able to find on h2g2 what I'm looking for, i.e. chance to communicate, to talk to people. Everybody I've met so far(it's my second day here) seems to be interested in writing. I'm not so keen on self-expression (I would if I could, butI have too little free time for that) and, anyway, my native tongue is not English, which makes creative writing in English rather - out of the question. So, can someone like me fit in and whereabouts are people talking?

Don't worry about fitting in - there's always somewhere to chat

The most heavily used places are:

<./>AskH2G2</.> - For people to post questions - these can be as serious or as silly as you like.

The Forum (A1146917) - an unofficial group that generally focusses on 'serious' topics such as politics, religion etc.

<./>MiscChat</.> - For any conversation that doesn't fit into any other category!

There are also other groups that cover specific topics, but use of these varies. For example, Science Explained (A4108330), where people post scientific questions for experts to answer, is quite heavily used.

My advice would be to have a look at the types of conversations at each place to work out which one suits you, then either join in a conversation or start one of your own.
