And I'm yet again trying to arrange a phonecall, and this time I've info about cheap calls, so I don't have to nag people about getting a phonecard.
But then, I've certainly known you long enough that I'd feel comfortable emailing you my phone number if you want to call sometime (and I'd give you the calling info--lets you call the US for 5p a minute)

Yipes, I feel... I appreciate that, Amy, and by all means do but I think I've said before that I'm not a great phone person. They make me nervy and I jabber like a poor improvisationist. I'll e-mail you mine in return of course: I'm of the variety of phone coward that fatalistically accepts its summons but is wary of provoking it.

Fair enough If you'd really rather not talk on the phone, I won't call. At any rate, I won't surprise you with a call, as I hate paying to leave a message on the BT thing (I get a cheap rate, but it charges for a minimum of 10 minutes...), so I'll arrange any calls in advance.

A wise course in any case as my landline only displaces the modem on request. I've enjoyed our chat tonight in both locations and I've more to say but I'm flagging and have a job application to fill in so I'll have to bow out for now.
Until next time...
Goodnight,
spim x

Not *quite* snogs (not as you defined them for me last year, anyway) since it's just on the cheek...
But yep
How're you, dear? Feeling any better than the last email?

Weeeellll... we can use the term generically for a kiss of any scale. Um, yes, fine... I thought I was on good form in my last mail though, wasn't I? Nevertheless, must admit that I really enjoyed knocking about in here last night and was looking forward to logging in again (not that I'd been entirely absent in recent times). Feels like a nice Christmas homecoming.

Well, you were, but numb still sucks...
I'm glad you're having fun returning though
I should do some w*rk... And my home machine's messed up (see my journal...)
I'll talk to you later

Numb-sucks? As in the ancient martial art of fighting with soggy bread sticks?

Now put that pout away, dear Amy, charming though it is. Lately I've been doing much lurking (and little working) without much to say; just looking for something to which I could respond. And you have provided.
Paperbaby is a sweet wee thing - has your voice I'd say. Quite remarkable. Glad it's all going so well. Rather enjoy unexplained dizziness myself, especially if coupled with a cold sweat, but that's just my TB fetish. Can understand your aversion to them. Almost a shame about the lack of twins. I am a twin (as is my sister) and wele is my honourary twin, seeing as we share a birthday. Yes, I do hope to see her at the meet. Might even go to the afternoon bit if there are board games to be played (though that idea may have changed).
I'm 'working from home' today. He he he. Speak to you later if I can fit it into my busy schedule.

Or if I'd been able to get h2g2 (or bbc.co.uk, even) to load before now...
Nothing against twins--I was just getting paranoid because Lady Scott, who basically just said 'I knew it' when I called her to confirm that the test was positive, was convinced I had more than one in here, and several (OK, a few... OK, a couple) of my 'siblings' through the 'adoption center' had jumped on the teasing bandwagon... Though it was fun that one night when Leeneh had me giving birth to 14... At which point I pointed out that I, who was roughly a month pregnant at the time, would have looked 9 months along if there were that many in there.
Oh, and did you get the link I emailed you?
