Amy,
We all make our identities on-line.
We have a right to keep them as we choose to make them.
This applies equally to any researcher that has left a previous identity behind. If a researcher does this, it is fair to assume that they do not want their previous identity dragged up again. And, as I have already mentioned in another thread, discussing researchers previous identities, real or imagined, might seriously affect that researcher in RL.
I am Dr. Deckchair Funderlik. Have some

I answered in the other thread, as well (I've taken to checking threads chronologically--less confusing)
But I *am* sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I did not mean to. If you are a 'real' newbie, then I must have come across horribly, and if you are my old friend, then I could very well have blown it... I was just excited at the prospect that a person that I missed terribly may have returned, and evidently has reliable access again. If I'd had a good email address for my friend, it never would have been mentioned onsite. But I should have at least started a new thread, instead of joining in a conversation with my speculations. Can you forgive me? Or would you rather I interacted with you as little as I was before today, when it was just a matter of the Questions only threads reminding me a bit much of a friend that I missed, and was making me watching to see if he would ever return?

Well, either you didn't see that I'd replied, or else the answer is 'Please leave me alone'
I hope it's just the first... The second's too much like RL
