Welcome to the Guide Bruce. While I am one of those b*****d americans, I try not to let it influence my attitude too much. Thanks for visiting my page, and whatever possesed you to search for drinking in Utah?

Sheer bloody curiosity Marv. I just had searched on 'beer' as a subject (for purely scientific purposes dontchaknow) and the words 'Utah' and 'beer' appeared in the same sentence! As this must be the only time in recorded history I HAD to follow it up.
And how are y'all? I must qualify my opening statements by saying that I do not find citizens of the USA boring - just that some of the conversation threads became very repetitive. I made it through the election and the Bush inauguration, but so much from the Political and National News threadsstarted to appear in completely different ones (and some quite offensive) that it became a bit of a chore. And I hate chores!
Logging in from an internet cafe, so I'll be keeping this brief. Stay in touch!!

I shall do mate. I am about to sign off for the night as I am getting fairly sleepy after studying for a certification that I should be able to take allready.

Zipping in from my local library this time! Still no new baby, wife is getting to be very tired of all the attention (we get the same telephone call from the same people every day!).
I'd like a little explanation of the "CoTB", I get the "Church of the The" bit, need a few more clues for the 'B' (can be quite offensive here in Australia).
At present we're well into winter, things hot/dry in Utah right now? I assume as it gets pretty cold at night anyway in a desert region that the difference between winter/summer may be a little blurred. Willing to listen to any dissenting opinions.
Have a great weekend, hope it finds you in a 'wet' State

A brownie is a dense chocolate cake that is frosted with chocolate as well. An americanisim for sure.
It is very hot and oddly enough, muggy (humid). Here in the city, we do not lose the heat like you would in teh deep desert, but it is nearly as hot. I am working on Saturday so I doubt that I will be all that ready to be "wet" as you say .
Good luck with the baby. My cousin just gave birth today.

I just checked out the 'On-liners' and their entries... "I am known as the Archbishop of the Church of the True Brownie".
Forgive me for my thickness Father.

And in my sleep addled head I misinterpreted your comment. Yes, I am the Archbishop of the Church of the True Brownie ... Sorry I fell asleep soon after that post so I was not in full control of my typing at the time

Back in cyberspace!
A new daughter! Must remember to nail the toilet seat down
Interesting trivia: A 'brownie' is approximated by the concept of 'slice' here in Oz (brownies are not a common item). A sort of weird cake-like item called a 'Lamington' is eaten. It consists of:
-a cube of sponge cake
-covered in chocolate icing
-then dipped in dessicated coconut
It's very traditional.

Hello, hello - just spotted you online! How are things in Utah?
Family still in shock from bringing new one home. I'm living off coffee (A.M.) and alcoholic beverages (P.M.). Many of your fellow Utahians practice a form of polygamy, with resultant children - how the heck to they COPE?!
Sydney weather, cold but dry. Weekend's on its way and I just got paid!! Macdonalds for the girls tommorrow!!

Congrats on the little one. I am still slogging through work. The weekend will not start for me till Saturday night as I have to work till 9:00 tomorrow evening. As for coping with many wives/kids I cannot say. I have a hard enough time with my kitten, I would kill myself if I had a child to take care of. Utah is warm and dry as is usual in August. I am eagerly awaiting the start of the Ice Hockey season in October at the moment. I have not been able to watch any sports since the end of last season. I need my Hockey!
