Well, there are several ways - you can visit <./>Askh2g2</.> and look for conversations you like the look of, or create new conversations of your own, or you can randomly follow links from people's pages, or do a search for something that interests you in the h2g2 search bar. There is also a "Who's online?" gadget, and if you look at that you can see lots of people and click on their names to visit their personal pages.
