Hellooo there

Hi Paul (may I call you Paul?) I couldn't pass by without giving a cheery wave to a fellow Doctor Who fan. I'm not going to be able to catch Death comes to Time because I'll be at work, which is a major pain in the neck because everyone says it's brilliant.
I've just applied for the title Keeper of Rubbish Episodes of Doctor Who but I haven't heard back from them yet so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Good Luck with the James Bulger entry

All of the Colin Baker ones, mostly.
And Timeflight, that was truly dreadful.
And any other episodes that people think bring shame upon the good name of Doctor Who.
Who's your favourite Doctor?
Mine's is Sylvester McCoy, because he's the one I can remember from when I was little, but I also like Tom Baker. And Pertwee. In fact, all of them except Colin Baker.

No!
I've been on the computer all day!
What was he doing? I do like Tom, with his mad teeth and his terrible overacting.
Have you read any of the Doctor Who novels?

Ooooh, I'm jealous now I know you've met Tom.
A good novel I can recommend is The Festival of Death by Jonathon Morris. It's got Tom Baker, Romana and K9 in it, and it's the best one I've read so far.

I liked Sylvester McCoy, too. I first saw him years before he played Doctor Who, in the early seventies, on a BBC children's program called Vision On, which also had Tony Hart (the guy who invented Morph).
It was a good programme; the presenter used to talk and sign at the same time, because the BBC decided to spend money in reaching deaf children in at least one weekly programme. I'm not deaf, but I enjoyed the programme and a lot of other people my age remember Tony Hart on Vision On, before he had his own programme.
Sylvester McCoy, then a young man, appeared in some short silent films with the presenter, Pat Kiesel, that had some interesting comic science fiction themes, like (curiously enough) time going backwards. He had that same manic grin, the twinkle in the eye, though of course I didn't actually hear him speak until some twenty years later, as The Doctor.

Oooooh, I wish I'd seen Sylvester McCoy as a young man, Sherilyn. I think he was *adorable* as the Doctor
Hi Paul, how was the holiday? Did you go to Portmerian? I've always wanted to go there but last time I was in Wales we didn't have time I've never been to a convention either, are they good? I really want to go to one, just to meet other Who fans - I don't know anyone else who likes it, and all my friends think I'm a bit odd because I'm a fan. Even my Mum called me 'sad' the other day
Yay! I finally got my keeper title
