Today I reached for hard boiled eggs in my fridge and found none there. Then I went to get a jar of peanut butter and found super chunky (which I never buy). I also tend to keep not more than four russet potatoes on hand. I had six.

This does not rise to the level of grand larceny, more like michievousness. I also get no mail at all for several days running, then some appears early in the morning, way before the mailman would arrive.

The message I guess, is that I am not secure in my own home, just as my financial transactions are not secure on my computer.

Malwarebytes, the most powerful antivirus program I have, never does a scan, no matter how hard I click.

Whoever is doing these things is working at a high level of competence, and wants me to be worried. I am worried. He (?) ants me to notice these things, and maybe kick myself for not noticing them sooner.

My utilities et paid by credit card, which has a secure site which I can't get into. Every time I try, I get the message "temporarily unavailable, while a little sign at the stop of the screen says "plug-in blocked."
\
Myh computer service company tells me I'm going to the wrong website, though it worked fine for 15 or 20 years, just not now.

Something powerful enough to evade the most powerful antivirus programs is at work, along with mail fraud (which I can't prove) and intrusion on my space.

No one who reads this can do anything about it. All I can say is that I am not crazy or imagining this. It's a coordinated effort. Is my phone tapped, too? Who knows?

Please believe that I'm not crazy. Please.

I think the intent is to make me think I forgot that I had used them up. But I wouldn't do that. There's just enough other stuff to make me think someone is intruding.

I *never* buy chunky peanut butter. My eyes are good enough that I just wouldn't.

I can consider buying a locking mail box.

More odd things. At dusk, a guy showed up to add heating oil to my tank, he looked like the "mailman" who came yesterday. And, after I wrote out a check to pay for the oil, and headed out the door to mail it, I noticed a statement from one of my brokers, which hadn't been there earlier in the day, and I never heard anyone delivering it.

When I got back form mailing it, I noticed that the container of cranberries was not where I left it this morning. (The phone rang exactly as I came in the door.)

I jot these little things down in a journal. There's a website that helps you calm yourself and avoid paranoia. I'm doing all the things on the list, including that.

Willem

The universe plays tricks with me also ...

The weirdest thing it did was once when it duplicated one of my books. It's "'n Bietjie Baie Bogtery" which is a fun kids book about language and words and with all kinds of jokes and fun activities and stuff in it. It's long been a favourite of mine, as a kid I read it many times. It is now in the bookshelf here in the study. Well the book was here, and then one day, there were suddenly TWO of it. I discovered the second book in the shelf if I'm not mistaken quite close to the first book. I am very sure we never bought or otherwise acquired a second book. How the bleep does a thing like that happen?

I see far too many "coincidences" these days.

There are sociopaths out there, who enjoy tormenting people who can't fight back. There are also some relatively more normal people whose expectations of the world have been shaped to allow for little or no pity toward those weaker than they.

Elder abuse is a prime example. Elders in nursing homes complain about the bad way he staff treats them -- which the staff denies -- but s0metimes a relative will unexpectedly go back to the elder's room and see exactly the staff mistreatment the elder complained about.

Willem, you and I seem to share an extra disadvantage: would people believe us? After all, we're on meds.

I haven't been receiving some key reports, which tells me the intruders know my passwords.

Where I will be by February, who knows?
