Thanks, AR80!
I have a pretty good working knowledge of stones, having talked to stone walls for much of my life.

There's a story about an old Yankee farmer from Vermont, who took his wife to hear a lecture about the last ice age. When the lecture was over, the wife got to talking to the lecturer about the stones that the glaciers had deposited on her farm. "Where did the ice go?" she wondered. "It went back to get more stones," the farmer interjected.

Stonewall Jackson? Wasn't he a general in the U.S. Civil War?

You posted your verses in the Bad Poetry thread, so it's only natural that people didn't mistake it for the good stuff.

Exactly!
You disguised your genius much too well.
Next time, let the full glory of it shine out for all to see.

That Titanic dream was pretty darn cool. It sounds like something I might dream.

I live on the Southeast edge of Boston, and spend most of my waking time in the next county. I probably wasn't anywhere near Fry's cameras. Maybe someday.

Darn it, I missed Fry's series.
I do enjoy is Qi series though, one of the better offerings on tv.
Hats off as well to the American version of Who's Line Is It Anyway,
much funnier than the versions with Clive Anderson hosting.

Yes, Salem makes sense for a Halloween visit. It calls itself "Witch City" because of the witches that were hanged there in the late 17th century.
