Our little load has now thawedclearfor me to travel to next town tomorrow for me 1st corona jab
but apparently ? we could be having more by the weekend ?

Snow is unpredictable this year. We were set to get up to 18 inches of the stuff last week, and it ended p being about four inches plus rather a lot of rain.

Apparently ? "we" (round here) could get some more Sunday onwards ?

I read somewhere that cold and lots of snow were normal in England in the 19th century. So much so that in the mid-1880s, a magazine or newspaper ran an article about the hard time birds were having. The author suggested that people help the birds by feeding them.

This got to be a common practice on both sides of the Atlantic. Some environmentalists have gone to the opposite extreme by saying that feeding wild animals endangers them by concentrating them around feeders, so predators have an easy time of hunting them.

Mankind will always argue on any subject!

IE: I like S - But! Will try to deter them entering my garden to prey on the birds that I feed.
Diversity will always have a conflict with individual thinking
fighting/wars/political and every other form

"WE" are our own downfall to annihilation

I don't think that the human race is any different from any other species in wanting to survive. The one thing we got wrong was in being so successful that other species went extinct.

With one distinction, though: whereas some species change their diets when they have hunted their preferred prey to scarcity, we seem to be clueless.

Most of the "animal" kingdom only kill for food as such.
WE! Kill just for any reason
Nature provides the supply/supplement etc "food chain" by the amount of the next "generation" born/hatched etc to survive.
Humans will just kill one another! For "their" own ideologies etc
last man/woman standing on earth will still say "I won"

well....

Let's talk about honeybees. The drones are tolerated until they have inseminated the queens, then they are evicted from the hive to die.

Rats, frogs, and who knows how many other animals will eat their own young when food is in too short supply.


I've read that the mongoose will kill even when it does not need food.

There are struggles for dominance -- wolves, many ungulates, etc., and this can end in the death of the weaker contestant.

I must agree! The species on this planet are diverse within nature.
But! Also "mother nature" seems to balance things out, but "wehumans" are upsetting the balance and the consequences will have to be paid for somehow ?
Can all species adapt in time = no extinction looms for manyinc' us = climate

Extinction's Looms would be an interesting name for a band.

Or a company that makes textiles.

Paul! In all honesty my friend via hootoo, I have made friends with many around the world and alas not many who I'll actually get to meet.
BUT! Nevertheless! A friend is a friend! and on all health issues, I will always wish the best that life can give a friend
