I haven't come across you before which seems a pity (for me) but like everyone else on Hoo Too I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to *seeing* you on here soon.

We don't know each other, but I heard of your accident through a mutual friend. I'm so sorry this has happened. My thoughts are with you, and I hope you recover quickly and well.

Quick update.
Cyn has improved rapidly and is sitting up often, can take a dozen steps or so, if slowly and her painkillers have been reduced to the point of just stopping the pain. It will take 2-3 months for her various bones to mend properly, but they are mending well. However it may be 9 months before full recovery.
The big one!
Will it affect her musical career?
This is uncertain, due to the broken ribs and sternum, damaged diaphragm and missing spleen! It does mean her lung use will be impaired but with careful training and Cyn's usual stubborness... I mean determination 
no doubt she will confound everyone.
She is in the 
big house for another fortnight, then to a pulmonary/thoracxic hospital in California, before full R & R at her Cousin's.
Watch out... She'll be back here soon...
