Posted Jul 16, 2001
I admit it! I couldn't resist pushing a button, even though it said not to do it!

Poetology
Posted Jul 2, 2001
(Of course, had I decided to be Professor of Poetology I would need to make a limerick for my name rather than a haiku...
Vogonpoet offers now an appology,
For those with poetry more knowledgey,
I Keep Balls in the Air,
And write verse for all to share:
Professor of Poetology.)

Feeling Like A Military Academy
Posted Jun 11, 2001
I live in Lego Land. Strange but true, that being the nickname of the university flats I live in here in Kaiserslautern, Germany. I thought being here would involve meeting lots of germans, but it turns out that all the international students get put in Lego Land, so I hardly know any germans at all.
The thing is, the majority of the international students are here for a short duration only - three months, siy months, nine months but not often longer.
So you arrive, you make some friends, then you gel a bit, become close friends with a number of people, and then if your lucky you become maybe really close to someone, and then they leave. Then you spend a while missing them, then more people leave, and then a few more people come, but they dont make up for those who left, and then those more people go too.
I leave in two months myself. I just hope not too much of me has passed out before I go.

Posted May 29, 2001
Urg, I am meant to be writing up my little research project: Synthesis and charachterisation of a new chiral ligand.
Somehow I just cant get up enthusiasm... Curse this guide in all its brilliance, distraction is endless.
