minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle!

Depends how much they wat to annoy me, they can go from a whisper of a thought to having to go lie down in the dark within ten minutes, but usually I can ignore them (as I am currently doing) for an hour or so before they become pesky.

See, most people will stagger Ibuprofen and paracetamol but I'm not allowed Ibuprofen (stupid asthma) so I get narcotics instead, smiley - magic
.

I really am held together by the wonders of modern medicine, Even if I am on hallucinogenic meds . . . I was pretty crazy bofore them though.

*dissolves 2 large round tablets in 4/5ths of a pint of water*

They really do taste foul, another reason to put off taking them.

ah but isn't that part of the placebo effect? If it tastes nasty it must be doing you good!

It really is quite amazing what modern drug technology could do, but sometimes it'd be nice if you could just rewire the bits that are malfunctioning! I'd advise against home brain surgery though smiley - winkeye

If you were to fix/replace all the dodgy bits of me you would end up with almost a whole new smiley - mouse though.

Feeling nicely drugged up now. Heres hoping the pink unicorns don't pay me a visit again. . .

does it really make you hallucinate? My mum used to get that off benyllin cough mixture! Talk about a cheap legal high smiley - winkeye

Oh it's not the co-codemol that makes me hallucinate, it's other meds I'm on, but the fuzziness of the co-codemol can help.

Luckilt no pink unicorns have been spotted thus far, so I think I'm safe. Well for now at least.

sounds wise - go playing with the fairies!
Do the meds make you drowsy as well? Bonus if they do I guess as when you wake up the migraine etc is gone?

Are you living off toast by any chance?

Me live off toast? Never been known. Nah, it's just being my afternoon snack for the "with food" meds. And yes the co-codemoles do make me a bit sleepy, I don't always take a nap though Unless I'm lacking in sleep for other reasons.

I hate to break what has been happening, but I have actually slept, at night for FOUR nights in a row now. This is day three of stupid Migraine though.

day 3? Blimey - I used to get not-really migraines and would have to retire to a cool dark room for a couple of hours kip. In my case it was caused by my eye being weird prior to the op. How long they normally last?

Three days is about the limit of them. Anything from about an hour (about the longest I can ignore them for before sending in the moles) to three days, but it's not three days solid. If I go to bed with a migraine and wake up in the morning with one then I assume it's the same one. It can be off and on throughout the day.

I'm currently feeling quite human after my toast and co-codemoles So I'm off to the shop for soymilk, Baking powder, cinnamon and bread (we are making scones or Muffins in a while and need ingredients)

. . . . . . . . .

Oh dear, that WAS a bad joke. Anyway, I'm not quite as human feeling as I thought I was, this *is* what I get for living up a stupid hill though.

I refuse to apologise, I am of the opinion that those who think puns are poor humour are just jealous they didn't think of it themselves!

Feeling any better today? Did you get some sleep?

I haven't been up an hour yet, but so far horrible headache seems to have finally gone (hiding in my room anyway, just in case)

We actually made mufings, not scones, so I can't make that particular bad joke.
