I for one thought your parady thread "what is wrong with the french" grabbed the other researchers attention to what negative sterotypic posts do to people. Posting about anothers countries faults in guise of disscussing policie leads to more division and creates hard feelings instead of solving any problems. It is good to get people to realize their words have effects on people no matter how much they think that inditing a whole nations leaders,culture,health,
education and Ideology is only disagreeing with policy. Remarks like "a country run by stuffy white men in suits" is a bigoted remark as much as "a counrty run by wild black men in lion cloths" . racist remarks can be made against a majority as well as a minority. By making such remarks it can give others a way to legitimise the use of racsism and bigotry. These threads then quickly desend into mindless name calling unsubstantiated accusations and hateful assumptions. I think you opened a few eyes alex but fear you will bear some misdirected anger. The only thing wrong with {fill in space with any nation} is they are populated by fallible creatures {humans}.
