I've just been working my way though GorgeousKelli's thread about her 10 weeks of 'A list diet' and saw your mention of endometriosis

I've been having investigations of abdominal pain that's been going on for several years and am up for a laparoscopy (but cos it's the NHS this could be any time in the next year) and was wondering if you know of any reliable, informative sites about endo?

I've been told it could be this, fibroids or just period pain (HA!) but am interested in finding out the basics just in case.

Sorry to hear of your abdo pains

Before you fear the worst though you may want to consider whether you have the correct symptoms...

Painful periods (duh!)
Pain during intercourse
Heavy and irregular bleeding, including clotting
Constipation and "dire rear" (usually following one after the other)
Infertility

These are the most common ones, but there is more of an explanation of the disease on the UK endometriosis site (http://www.endo.org.uk/info.html)

I hope your lap appointment comes around soon - it's always a relief to finally know what the problem is - even if it isn't all good news.

Thanks LiaT! I'll go have a good look later. I'm not thinking the worst, I'm covering all possibilities - good and bad. Have all the but two of those mentioned symptoms (or maybe all but one - I've no intention of finding out about the infertility!)
